I was wondering how well the Holy Diver would retain tightness and clarity when tuned as low as like Drop C or even lower sometimes. Im very close to getting a holy diver for my warmoth which will be either alder/maple/maple.......alder/maple/rosewood or alder/maple pau ferro........and i use 10 and 11 gauge strings and it will have a flush mount trem. and a maple top.
thanks!

If it helps, I recorded a few drop-C# clips with the HD a while back:
here (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6460.0) & here (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9744.0) (actually, the remix (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9744.msg124744#msg124744) on Pg2 is better...)
Never tried it lower tuned.
As for coil-splitting, I don't the neck sounds particularly good split, but IMO you don't need to split it as it already has one of the best clean (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6459.0) tones on the planet :) I have no use for a split bridge so I've never tried it...

WOW!!! I hope i could get tones like that! though I probably wont since my guitars gonna be dominantly Alder and Maple and have the floyd. And youve got a Engl.....and those are magic lol
