The nicest Strat pups I have ever heard are the Texas Specials. What are the BKP alternatives?

All bias aside, are they as good or better? :o

According to the users on this forum they are way better, even better than the Duncan antiquities.

We wouldn't make them if they weren't better!

Fair play.

This is my opinion yes :)
I had a set of the Duncan Antiquities fitted to my Strat, and to my ears they were what a 'proper' strat should sound like. Then I put a Crawler/Irish Tour/Irish Tour set on another strat and after the 1st few notes, the Irish Tours blew the Duncan Antiquities out of the water!

I had Texas Specials on my Sambora strat which i changed for the Mothers Milk single coils,WOW.A much warmer less spikey tone, without the T.Specials mid range honk.I like the T.Specials but the BK singles ive tried have all blown them out of the water.

I have mother's milks in my strat and they are another option to Irish Tours - they are lower output but have a great sixties warm smooth strat glow. Very nice and better than the Duncans they replaced.

From looking at the disciptions, I would say that the Taxas Specials are closet to the Mothers Milk, I could be wrong obviously.
I took the Texas Specials out of my MK signature Strat and replaced them with Apache's.
I wanted the old strat sound, and there was a big difference of course.
