Day ... off?
Explain, please.
-
is that sarcasm? do you never have a day off?
im not in work today. i work shifts. i worked 90 hours last week so i have this week to recover. swish!
-
That sucks. What do you do?
On my days off at the minute, I'm sorting out the house trying to get all the little jobs done and the nursary fininshed. Got a little bit of filling to do (which I'll do in a few minutes as I'm working from home today) and then just got some painting to go before getting the house back together again.
Only working four day weeks at the minute (but still about 40-50 hour weeks :()

+1
Disclaimer: Not claiming my life is as busy as Ben's(from what Davey says, you use your time very wisely), but feels hectic nonetheless

The price of success :) It could be worse, at least you make money!

Pah!
Part timer!
The best thing about being self employed is getting to chose which 90 hours per week you work!
-
yeah this was 90 hours 10pm till 8am for 9 days.

When we had a lot of oilseed rape and wheat a few years ago, I was doing 18hr days for a fortnight, mixed in with one 22hr day. That was hard!

Nah, that's just gardening PDT_003
Dunno what you're moaning about

I do 56 hours in a week if I work on a Saturday morning, 50 for 5 days. Driving trucks, you get used to it but I wouldn't say its easy. I do have a guitar in my cab though!
Off work is all I've been doing for the last 7 weeks and I play my guitars until my hands hurt or need to eat.
Anyway I'm back at work next week.

im lucky. i watch TV while im in work.
but what spurred me on to get a job like that was my dad being a welder, working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for years. and he always said to me, try your best and dont get stuck in a dead end job.
he also said to remember its not just the notes, but what's in between that counts.
he played harmonica, and got me my first harmonica when i was 5 i guess, too bad i never kept it up! a REAL blues man.
