Well more specifically the past few days.
Learnt to (mig)weld proper like last Saturday, and my Father insist I use the arc welder on Thursday, doing a reasonable job and then I picked up the steel where I had welded! My picking hand thumb has two blisters that are deep and can't hold a pick right :(
Yesterday my Father was in a mood because he is 65 today, and then got in an even worse mood when someone decided to overtake me when I was turning right into the farm gateway. Seriously smashed the old peoples car up, and he probably won't drive again.
/rant
Oh, and went to Kimble race course today and there were 5 races with 4 horses in, and one race with 6 in. Sh!t odds, so no bets

Sounds like a bad one. My advice - stay at home and don't use anything that is potentially dangerous!
-
Get some Aloe Vera gel on those blisters.
-
ouch with those burns :o
chin up mate!
-
I shall try and find some gel stuff. Thanks for the positive attititude guys :)

It's a bad week when you can't even console yourself by playing guitar.
Sorry to hear you are having a rotten one!

Was that your dad, or the people who went into you? Hope nobody was hurt.
Sorry to hear you're having a bad week Will, I guess things can only get better?

Mrs 38th suggests vitamin E oil too.
-
Tear the blisters off and apply ice.
Or is that what not to do...

People I went into, the guy is apparently going to have to go on a course for dangerous driving. I really do feel sorry for him.

Well, I am losing definition in my thumb print slowly, and there is no way I am cutting! They're deep
Managing to play guitar though! :D

Dont mean to sound like a dick but why? Its his own fault unless you didnt indicate..

I indicated in good time, just after the previous turning. People don't pay attention to tractors indicators, so I put it on with more time to notice.
For all I know it may have been his only $% up with driving, and because of his age he may have lose the right to drive, and he was pretty shook up by it anyway.

I wouldnt worry about the driver. When you have a motoring accident you should be happy that no-one is seriously hurt or worse. Thats how i like to look at it.
You should worry about getting you hand better for playing guitar!! And dont listen to my blister advise.
-
Sorry to hear about your bad week Will. Hope your blisters heal fast and you can get back into your playing.
As for the driver of the other car, I would feel sorry for him but think of it this way, if he is that absent minded driving a car then he could kill or injure someone. If you hadn't have had the accident with him then he would have had another with someone else in the future.
How are the new dogs?

About to put a deposit on an Alsation pup. They are just the other side of London with highly rated breeding lines atleast. Should be ready to sit on the tractor with me all summer
We have (use)Lass down at the house, and she still won't come near me :?
Enjoying welding atleast :)

Sounds good, I'd love to have a dog but i've got nowhere to keep one in a small flat. Having a dog in the tractor sounds like great fun!
Have you had a go at training the dog that doesn't trust you? She sounds like she doesn't like males.
These may help or get you into some links that can

Its amusing when they watch the cars go past, and have 360 vision. You could have one with you in your lorry!
Lass just runs away at any sign of work, and my Brother didn't help her shyness. She is getting more friendly towards me atleast. I will read through that site Johnny
I think this week is looking better

Will - will be getting the fingerboard inlays installed in your Lion this week hopefully
Will put up a piccy when they are in
Then it's fretting time , and it really starts to look like a guitar!

That's put a smile back on your face Will! :D I saw your guitar last week when I was at Jonathan's workshop, looking good so it is!
I'd love a dog out in the lorry with me but I'd be too concerned about anything bad happening to it like it jumping out of the window and getting splattered by a bus or something!
