Well, I've been looking at some recording stuff without the need to a) lug my amp and cab upstairs and b) make a HELL of a noise when our neighbours have a 3 month old baby. Enter Revalver!
The rig:
WezV Vociferator with Black Dog Bridge -> Zoom G2.1u (no effects on, purely for getting a level for DI) -> computer (Cubase).
All sounds recorded completely clean, dirt added later in revalver. Clean sound has a Peavey Classic 30 amp over the top and the dirty is through a 6505+ (I have a 5150-II so this kind of made sense!!), boosted with a TS-9 (again, I have a bloody murder, so this kinda made sense too!).
It's a very short clip designed only as a tone test. Don't be offended by the awful quality drums and the abrupt ending :)
Cheers,

Sounds great! I've got revalver but not really experimented with it yet, sounds promising!

Love the cleans! I bet that guitar has an awesome acoustic tone.
For me the distortion just wasn't there - the sound seemed to lose balls when it came in. Might just be because it was lower in the mix though.

Like it! hoping a clip with the tube amp on action!

A friend of the vocalist posted a brief vid from Thursday night, you can get a bit of an idea of the live tone of this thing when the bass isn't destroying the camera's mic!

That should have a bit more in the balls department for you!
Hopefully our bassist will sort out his own video camera and we'll have something which isn't clipped to buggery.
