Title: Largest Resistance that you will safely wind
Post by: Miracle Man Matt on April 24, 2005, 11:23:36 AM: Ok well Ive just listened to the clip of that custom 22k SINGLE COIL!! and was quite frankly blown away by the sound (and the playing). What is the most powerful Humbucker that you might experiment with, i mean what would two of those singles in a humer config sound like?

Or to do a HB with one coil "fake" (to get this single coil but in a HB size)?

Post by: Tim on July 23, 2005, 09:41:12 AM: Madness is our speciality...............some of my best designs have come from things that I've been told 'not' to do in pickup winding.Most of the time it's just an issue of time.............if it's worth it tonally, I do whatever it takes.
