Anyone tried one..a second hand one may be up for quite cheap or trade.
Are they worth a look
-
Depends if you like Gibson with P90s!
-
not sure on that liked a epi goldtop recently with p90's main problem though was the neck just not right
-
Well then you probably need to try it for yourself before buying.......
-
There are good ones and bad ones. I have mine since mid '90s and it's really nice. But it needs a fret dress ...
-
thats the only worrying part with a lot of gibo's the 60's taper neck is a neck I like

I had one of the mid nineties reissues with the Tune-o-matic bridge and it was a lovely guitar. I sold it eventually because I had just moved away from Les Pauls in general. Mine was the only one I've played so I can't speak for the consistency of the range as a whole but mine was rock solid, sounded very good, even with stock pick-ups, and it looked lovely. If you like P90s (I think mine actually had P100s) the double cut Special is a really knock-out rock and roll guitar.

My one's fabulous! I'd be really sorry to let it go. But you probably know that already!

Is this the model Dave had, with the mini trapezoid inlays? Or dot inlays like Hunter's?
-
