Good Morning,
I'll be getting my RG7321 tomorrow and just wanted to double check whether the p/ups i am thinking of ordering are right (i know that technically there is no right with sounds, just different).
Tim recommended a Nailbomb set for me for Dream Theater, Steve Vai and Jag Panzer tones, however i'm not sure how tight the NB will be in the Bridge, would getting it overwound or a C-Bomb be more appropriate for metal riffing?
I would just order a MM Set but i want some really good cleans for the more progressive direction my band is going in (definately think DT as opposed to more vintage breakup style cleans) amp will be either a Bogner Alchemist, Laney GH50L or Cornford Roadhouse 30/50 head through a Marshall 1960b with GT12-75s
cheers guys

If you have a recommendation from Tim, it supercedes any advice we give.
Only time I ever sent any BKs back was when I didnt get what Tim suggested in the first place.

Your forum name is bringing some pretty grim mental images to my head. :)

I'm a blaze bayley fan that works in a trading department for a financial company, brOOtalz helps the stress, which i shouldn't have at 21 (just)

When you get the 7321 can you tell me what you think? Been trying to get a 2nd hand 1572 but they're not turning up on the bay at the mo, so might just settle. I'm used to my ESPs, and I had a cheap Ibanez which I sold, but I really want a 7, and I'm thinking a 7321 with a pup change might be half decent?

The 7321 is really good, the neck is really smooth, and i have a plan in mind to customise it up, put a NB set in there and it will still punch in well under the price of a custom guitar.
The body and neck are really sound, the electrics are ok but wil be changed for BKP's anyway.

Standard Nailbomb 7s ordered with black allen head screw poles, should get them by May 1st (i hope) then i can unleash them on my first gig with my new band!!

they look very cool, but cap heads force you to set pickups a bit lower than you probably would like... i had this problem just with a neck pickup, but in the end it sounds very good, so it doesn't matter...

I got the black allen head screw poles in my Vigier too. Great looking and sounding (as long as i'm playing well)
