Title: Painkillers in a Korina Guitar
Post by: Infliktor on April 22, 2009, 06:54:55 PM
I have a Singlecut type guitar, neck and body is all Korina, no maple top.

Will Painkillers work well in it?  I would be using mainly for Metal

yeah, will do. Should get some awesome midz, plenty of low end, and you cant take the clarity and attack out of the top end of the painkiller.

Pics or you don't have the guitar :)

As MDV said, the PKs will work just fine in there.

They're both pure evil and should be burned.

Just so you know :)

Cold Sweats would work nicely too. Depends on what you're after. They both have a tight bottom, painkiller has more mids. Cold sweat probably has more highs.

To me, all 3 of those guitars seem wholly inappropriate for someone with the name "Infliktor"... :)

After what all that sparkly Fender did to my eyes, they seem totally appropriate to the name, lol ;)

Perfect collection....Get ready for the next Boney M show....    And those sparkly finishes.....  :crzy:

What kind of music do you play ? Such guite high output - metal oriented pickup like the PK are not tooooooooo much for this guitar ?

Anyway, it might be worth considering the CS option !

GOOD GOD. Maybe I will go and have a look in that 'Roo!' thread, which is likely to be telecaster-tastic, to just complete the face-melting horror I just experienced!
