Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong place but I wanted to get some opinions.
I'm going to get a pair of Cold Sweat, but I'm wondering if I should go for double white.
I knocked this up quickly......

I dont like it.
If you do though, how does a poll help you?
-
go for gold and fit white speed knobs too.
-
indeed. personal choice first!!
i quite like. but bear in mind i play a white explorer with chrome and black hardware and i went for double white in that
-
because I'm undecided between nickel and double white.
I just wanted to know what others think of the double white. If it's a landslide of no's, then I probably will just go for nickel covers.
-
I like it! They go really well with the white scratchplate.
-
Love it!-
I'd probably love double parchment more though, bit less zing!
-
I like white pickups in almost all guitars. But get white knobs and mounting rings too.

Guess it's all personal taste , but I think the white pickups don't go with the white pickguard
Wonder what half white half black zebra (as opposed to half cream) would look like
-
The white pickups work well for me, but only with the black pickup rings to visually identify and separate them from the white scratchplate.
-
i don't like explorers.
i don't like white pickups.
so i never believed i could have liked it but strangely enough i do, and quite much!
but yes, absolutely with black pickup rings!

Yep, agree with that. I like a contrast between pickups and mounting rings (or between pickups and scratchplate, on a Strat).
-
interesting.
Since my choices are double white or nickel covers, I guess I could go ahead and get the double white and if i change my mind in the future just add the nickel covers.

I think black & white zebras would look really cool.
-
I think what it is missing is 'Black' Slugs and Screws.
Martin
-
I like it. Also like the idea of black slugs/screws my predecessor mentioned.
Why are there no red pickups? I always thought they looked hot in Jeff Healey's guitar.

That does look quite cool. I didn't realise he switched to humbuckers, he used to use s/coils with red covers - were the buckers still made by Evans?
-
I would have put chrome in there.
-
I dont like it.

+1 :)

To help me decide.

When I first opened the thread I though "nah... I'd want nickel covers", but then I thought you probably wanted open coils...
I almost stopped reading, but I was bored, so I read on...
... and I find it's between white and nickel :D
I voted "Nay" - but to confirm what others say, it is very much personal choice
-
Why nickel if the hardware is chrome?
 Nickel and chrome should NOT be mixed!!!!
Yes, I know Fender do it on vintage models. PRS do it too, and I can't understand why - they should just get Schaller to make the PRS tuners in nickel.

i know, that's why i gave my opinion too. the white pickups are a little bright, in my opinion. :)

Sorry, WAS blind... hmm :?
-
I voted "Yay", but I personally would also switch the white scratchplate for a black one. I don't know why I think that, but I do.
-
It looks sexy as hell!
-
Problem with white and white which doesn't show on the photo is there are so many shades and they are so close it could look 'wrong' as it is I don't dislike it but it may have that different whites clash problem.
Going black and white would make any clash stand out a lit less, but I think I would go with black (white surrounds) , I like white singles but not doubles

a genius. and yes, red pickups don't look bad!
