probably sounds TERRIBLE!
stumbled onto this after talking about wiring a 6x12 with EVM black labels. 1800watt cab ;). dont think thats QUITE possible though
-
you'd need to put a scooter engine in it or something, no way id want to try to move it around.
-
a 6x12 or a 16x12?
you'd need some sort of robotic pedestal for both
-
Think i could handle a 6x12, so long as it wasnt well consturcted and loaded with evm12l's, (can hardly manage my mesa 4x12)
But a 16x12 would be a bit to heavy for my whole band to carry.
-
No, a 6x12 with EVM12Ls would be a) incredibly expensive and b) about 80-90 kilos. Good luck lifting that in and out of a car every week for band practice and for every gig!
I've seen those 16x12s (on youtube, not in person), they look very fun, but you'd really want some serious power to drive it - otherwise you're not really getting the cones moving! But don't even think about the cost or weight of 16 EVM12Ls!!!

id have to design a head that uses a few Klystron tubes. or 25 KT88s

You could always buy a couple of these original Marshall 8x12 (made in 1966 for Pete Townsend) at $40,000 each 8)

Shouldn't have liked being a roady for him back then - look at the original flimsy carrying straps/handles on the side
