Title: Finally finished my first (probably of many) DIY effects pedal

It's a BYOC OD2 and I have to admit, it's a top piece of kit. I've ended up building it to stock TS-808 specs in the end.

A deeply addictive thing to do is this DIY thang. I've already got another BYOC on the way, and a bag of bits for a couple of other things to do.

Nice work!
BYOC's PCBs look really well made.
I've built 3 pedals from some DIY books, and I'm getting parts together for 8 more :lol: it is addictive and I can't see myself buying any stompboxes for a while to come.

Very neatly done!  Mine are SO much worse than that...

Think that I've got an OD2 coming for my birthday next month, if the wife has taken the hint...

FANTASTIC job on the guts! Graphics look terrific, too, although I have a philosophical issue with the implication of the Baphomet being associated with 'corrupting' and people 'burning' as a result -- but that's neither here nor there! PDT_008

That's a work of art!

How does it sound?  It's on my shortlist with the OCD and BB plus but I'm thinking it will be better for just the boost kind of thing rather than the 'amp in a box' I'm after.  Or can it pull amp like distortion into a clean amp off too?

awesome. i always mean to make a pedal or two (would start really basic, like a treble booster or clean boost), but never get round to it. :lol:

I scanned the case to get the dimensions, then stuck it in Photoshop (demonic logo found on t'internet, font is from the game Diablo). Printed it out to an inkjet waterslide, then you have to lacquer that as it runs, then applied to the painted and lacquered enclosure, then lacquered some more... It actually took far, far longer to finish the enclosure than it did all the rest of it.

I've built it to stock TS-808 specs and it's pretty damned awesome. Really impressed with it. There are a couple of things I'd do different, I'd replace the 50k loudness trim pot with a 2k one. It's a proper pain in the ass to set that. You need a multimeter to get it right as it's only really usable between 1-2k, and if I did another, it'd probably be a Mosfet one.

I suspect the Shredder would be better for the amp in a box thing.

That's a Noisy Cricket. A half watt 9v powered guitar amp. Top fun. It's missing the power jack at the moment and I need to sort an enclosure for it. But it's brill and it works. I'm gonna be doing another of those for someone, the next one will be a hell of a lot neater.

Oh, and I have some valves coming for the one after that ;) Not to mention another BYOC on the way.
