in the next months i'll spare something to buy an axe-fx... if i want to use it as a preamp will a solid state rocktron velocity 100 give me a decent sound or will it completely waste the axe-fx potential?

I'm wondering the exact same thing, selling my drumkit this weekend to fund a possible Axe-FX
