Post by: MerlinTKD on April 28, 2009, 04:58:07 AM
It's my first time... be gentle! ;)

Not a ton of clips of BKP's in basswood guitars, so I thought I'd throw mine up here. Particulars are:

Thanks guys! :D

I did as you suggested and yes, it sounds much better! I'm still learning how to tweak the EQ for this pickup... it's got such strong upper mids, and in a way, so does my guitar... so getting a good snarl without devolving into fizz is a tough task! Still, it's so cool to get close to the sound I hear in my head, and realize the possibilities available with other BKP's... "oooh, what if I had gotten a Cold Sweat? Or a Miracle Man? Or a Holy Diver? What if I tried a Nailbomb in the neck? Or another Painkiller? Or what if..." It goes on and on and on, and I'm loving every minute of it!

Ha thats how i feel try some cold sweats you will love it one more thing about the mix you should try adding a little more treble to the bass drum so its a little clicker and turn the bass down on it its a little overpowering im just being super critical when im saying this but nothing better then constructive critisim!

Like i said great playing and im getting some painkillers for myself soon!
