Title: Flight 666
Post by: murraymurray on May 06, 2009, 02:23:50 AM
Anyone seen it yet? finally got around to going to it last night. pretty good all round i thought. some good live footage intertwined with interviews.  couldve had a bit more stuff on the band but i guess they did pretty good getting as much as they did due to maiden being pretty private generally.
south america looked insane. so many maiden fans.
low point of the movie was having to listen to lars ulrich for about a minute. saw scott ian in the background, why couldnt they have talked to him instead.
looking forward to the dvd if it has more footage that was cut from the final edit.

takes about the same amount of time  unless you watch it in fast forward
but yeah a good doco.

I was one of the few people in the theatre not wearing a maiden tshirt. some maiden fans are just a bit too retarded.

i'm a bit reluctant, buying the somewhere back in time dvd. partly cos of the death on the road fiasco, with the DVDs being utter rubbish and nothing was done in that regard. and the interviews/behind the footage scenes and stuff is not nearly long enough on death on the road.. still, hearing good stuff about flight666. but i'm getting very bored with maiden nowadays.
still love the old stuff to death, but they're turning into the roling stones with all their releasing the same rehash of rime of the ancient mariner over and over again.

oh, and a matter of life and death SUCKED!
