i think those are the lyrics from the song "Elvis Ate America" from the Passengers album.  they really don't read very well, do they?

Bloody hell, what a load of nonsensical, pretentious bollocks. It would be shite if anyone had written it - it's not good poetry at all - but the fact that it's Bono just makes it worse.  He really is such a w**ker, isn't he?

i thought it would be bono, elbows on knees, leaning into the camera, and speaking in that oh so sincere way he has, turning to the side and looking down every so often to convey the emotion of the piece.  but it's off the radio, and someone's added music and archive sound to it.  so, still silly as hell, but not as horrific as expected.
