TO SAY THAT I AM SO $%&#ING OVER THE MOON!
And all because I've actually mastered a song. Not just any song, but to me, the most demanding of my guitar playing yet. And I feel soooooooooooooooooo good. To the point that it's getting creepy that I'm just saying that I'm soooooooo happy soooooo much.
So yeah, I started this about 2 days ago. It's "You'll Find Safety" by Architects from the Ruin album. When I first downloaded the tab, I was like 'shitee, this is gonna be difficult' and over time I got used to the time signature changes and then the really $%&#ing difficult technical runs which the more I practiced, the more they seemed 'normal' (and I mean 'normal' because in tech metal, to me, the sound is very obscure and sort of like 'the wrong notes' so to speak) and I am so happy they got nailed. And I was headbanging away playing alongside the track and it was so much $%&#ing fun!
Ah.. I see this as a milestone to me, in my guitar playing progress.
Ha, I'm so chuffed.
TOM SEARLE IS KING. FACT.

awesome! i know how you feel, i feel the same way! yesterday i finally finished learning Opeth's "To bid you farewell". Not a technically difficult song, but its 11 minutes long and i've never attempted anything that complicated before.
nothing like the feeling of learning a hard or awesome song.

Awesome man! I know the feeling too of finally nailing a song that you initially thought was difficult. I always think with enough perseverience and determination anybody can learn just about anything!
-
Well I am listening to Architects for the first time ever and if you've mastered this then congrats! I wouldnt know where to start with this sort of thing.

Cool! Congrats! put here to us listen! :D

Epic choice!

Nice one :D
I have no idea about the music in question (I might go and check it out later to see what we're talking about here, sounds like it might be beyond me ), but there is nothing quite like knowing you've just achieved something :D
Hang on to that feeling if you can, so you can tap into it again when life's rich tapestry, er, sh1ts in yer lunchbox further on down the line...
EDIT: Can a tapestry actually perform that act? Ummm... a rather mixed metaphor, but who cares, you all know what I mean :D

Well done bruv. I'm not into those guys but they are some reeeeeeal players, very hard to learn i think.

Yeah, like when one tries to record it.
Man, nothing else so far has deflated my ego so quickly. Recording is a bitch.
