Title: New (well, to me) Effects Day - Boss SE-70
Post by: 99_not_out on May 12, 2009, 12:16:28 PM
I just got given a Boss SE-70 by a very kind chap at work who found it in his studio last week and has no need for it any more. Reading about them they sound pretty tasty! Anyone ever used one? (I have no manual so may need some advice on how it actually works ...  :P ) By the sounds of it it was where it was at reverb wise a few years ago. should be pretty handy as I currently run Guitar -> Overdrive -> Valve Amp with no other effects at all (although I do quite like the simplicity of that setup!)

Will plug it in tonight anyway and see how I get on with it :)

Most BOSS manuals are online .pdf formats, so your luck is still there hopefully :)

Score, ta Jonny - had to register but downloaded the PDFs. With the added bonus of being able to use the work printer to print them out :)

I just flicked through the 150+ pages of manual ... might take a while until I get it doing what I want! But will bung up some first impressions once I've plugged it in - seems to have endless permutations of reverb, delay, chorus, pitch shifting, compression, EQ, Wah, phaser. Plus as a bonus it has the OD-1 pedal chipset in it which is nice because I have been thinking about getting one :)
