so. Which amp? Explain why and what the pros and cons are. Considering getting either one in the near future.

For gigging, where you can crank it, the VM would get my vote of those two.
For everything else, the Orange woud probably be better.
-
For what its worth the Orange is much better built than the Marshall.
-
I thought these were both really different sounding amps, so i don't really know how to compare it.
-
Not having tried the Orange, but i'd have to say not the VM. I tried one and didn't like it at all, the only way i could get a decent sound out of it was to really crank it... wasn't impressed to be honest!

Owned the VM (50W) and tried the rocker once.
Love em both, really they are great amps.
The Orange is more versatile due to its second channel but lacks the loop of the Marshall. The Marshall has high mid focus and does an amazing hard rock tone. The Orange has a nice (though simple) clean and an addictive overdrive. The clean on the Orange could be a bit dark, but you could help that with pedals easily.
It depends on what you want/need really.

Played the Vintage Modern today and I really didn't like it. I got to turn it up quite loud but still not the thing for me. The Bogner Alchemist though :P was awesome. Really considering getting that.

I like the VM more, because it matches my taste better. Which is exatly, what this boils down to - a matter of taste.

I also love that alchemist. If you have pedals which I am sure you do if your about to buy an amp at that price. I would recommend the Rocker. I love Orange and they have a unique sound and their quality is good. Higher in my opinion than Marshall and the Alchemist which is made in China. Rocker Roars my friend
