Hey,
I want to tune my guitar to C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#. Which I believe is drop C. I'm just wondering if I would need a neck adjustment after I did it or is it ok to tune your guitar back in forth from drop tunings to standard. Will it screw up the neck at all or anything?
Thanks

That's C# standard, if I'm not mistaken (drop C is C, G, C, F, A, D). To answer your question, though: You can safely try it, but you'll probably need a setup to get satisfactory action.

What is your current tuning and string gauge?
If you up the string gauge in the right proportion, setup work can be kept to a minimum. However, you might have to have the nut slots widened to avoid tuning issues.

I'm tuned to standard with 11s - 46 on the guitar.

You may also need to tweak the intonations for an "in tune" drop tuning all the way up the neck
-
You WILL need bigger strings 11-54 minimum I would say
You will need a nut adjustment , and an intonation adjustment
You may need a truss rod adjustment too

You might be fine if you only do it once in a while and not for long. But if you plan on doing some serious playing, you're gonna need to have all that feline mentioned adjusted. I used to do Db every now and then, but never seriously enough to mandate adjustment.
