Title: New Anniversary XTCs are shipping
Post by: hunter on May 24, 2009, 08:13:44 PM

Oh man, that is tempting to get back into real amps, just for the physical experience of having one in front of you!

Not sure, Reinhold designs his amps really well, all settings sound different but good. He is not just adding stuff to show off, but balances and finetunes everything thoroughly, so that dialing in is fun and easy and tones are through the pallette good.

i really liked the ecstacy i tried... can't remember which version it was, though. crazy expensive this side of the pond, though (not that they're cheap in the states, but they are a bit cheaper). :(

I do like the look very much, but I'd have no idea what to do with all those controls!  Way out of my league.

Ooh - sexy looking shop
See they have a Fish reissue preamp on the shelf

I am gonna have one of my Randall XTC modules modified by a guy in Czech republic (Salvation Mods) to a proper XTC spec - also has a switch to get more of a Shiva sound.

Also want him to do his Custom Audio Electronics mod (CAE3+SE) to one of my other modules
Sounds just like Megadeth  (Countdown to Extinction Era)

They are the best!

I was in their back room, like 5x4m, wooden floors, two 4x12s and then they let me alone there with an Avenger, a Rockerverb, an XTC, an Einstein, a VH4 and a Thunderball. They just checked in like every 20 minutes, asking if I need anything, any more amps or sth. And I was cranking it up pretty mean for like almost 2h! Went home with the Einstein, but kept thinking of the Avenger. Just it has only one channel and no loop, darn!

Think i'm going to be getting the CAE one too very soon!

It sounds too good on the clips and it'll suit my new band down to a tee :D
