That rhythm section during the verse got the best of me, but apart from those rhythm weaknesses I think the tones are pretty good, well judge yourselves.
Axe direct, JCM800 patch with a Tube Driver, light 1900Hz shelf peak in the EQ and a dip around 110Hz after the cabs.

That's one big f*ck-off guitar sound there Hunter... like it :D
Really tasty lead at the end.
I've been wondering what I'll do this evening (the missus is away), I shall watch my Aerosmith DVD now :D

Glad you liked it Andy. I've been tweaking the Axe FX since almost a year and now I feel I am getting closer to authentic tones, also it starts to more and more feel like the real thing when playing it.
In fact, I plugged into the Bogner Shiva this week, and I honestly must say I was disappointed, it wasn't as good as my memory of it. I was really missing the bells and whistles of the Axe as well as the possiblity to run more open sounding distortion than the Bogner does. Weird, but slowly I feel I can sell that amp (won't do right now as it wouldn't yield a good price though).

Nice stuff Hunter - the rhythm on the verses always gets me as well!
What guitar are you using on this clip?

It's the McCarty with Rebel Yells.

You totaly nailed the Aerosmith tone here. Just lovely. Like Andy said: Very nice lead work at the end and tone to die for :D

Dude - don't sell it. You need to keep a 'proper' amp. I still prefer the sounds of the Shiva, even if they have flaws :D

Thanks for all the great feedback guys, highly appreciated!
Dave, in fact I bought the Shiva because it was cheaper. In fact I preferred a lot the XTC Classic (which was almost double price thought) - a real killer amp. I feel I can sell the Shiva, and if I ever should feel the urge to get an amp again, I'd get the ultimate, the XTC :O)

Fair enough my friend! Whatever suits you best, I guess :)
I just can't see the attraction of playing through a computer!

Yeah, I guess this is where we should find an end to this discussion LOL
Maybe I should really pack my rig and get my arse over on the island on the next meet :O)

That sounds like a very good idea. When is the next meet anyway? Haven't seen anything on the forum for it in a while. Might be worth a new thread!

Sounds like an idea. I think it was going to be a Midlands one????
