Title: WooHoo! Got tickets to see Muse at the O2
Post by: ailean on June 05, 2009, 09:43:06 PM
I can't believe how quickly they sold out. I was on line at 9am when they started selling, 2 PC's to try for Thursday and Friday, tried for lower tier on both and they'd sold out (this is about 9:03), tried for uppper tier on Thursday and got that, and best available on Friday and got nothing! They's sold out on Friday in 5 minutes, and sold out completely by the time I'd finished paying.

Bloody glad I have an understanding boss!

Wave to me from the crowd so I can throw stuff at ya :p

I got tickets at the side of the stage, depending on the stage layout it could be good or could be bad.

well they've kept it under wraps, nothing at all has been released so far from the 5th album as opposed to BhaR where the practiced some new songs live beforehand.

yh the resistance has been kept pretty secret i doubt if any have heard it as of yet.... i do hope they move away from the general feel of black holes though... (the previous albums are just more entertaining in my oppinion ... although i think we can expect something different again from them... maybe verging towards more electronic influences...)
but anyhoo should be amazing and i cant wait... (at least ive got glastonbury and reading in the mean time :P )
and ailean ill hold a big old banner saying bkp ftw ;)  hope ur seat is a goodun , its guna be mannick down on the floor..... but depends how close i can get....

I can't help but think this tour is timed to promote a Christmas album release?

Prince, I'll wear a BKP t-shirt :)

I was at Wembly last year (year before?), bloody great show, but the sound system at the back was awful, but still a great show. The O2 is supposed to have good sound so I have high hopes :)

If they release an album in early Nov then it's still timed for Christmas as far as I'm concerned, you can get out 2-3 singles and get a real vibe going, get it on everyones Amazon wish list.

I know there were alot of Muse fans who weren't too happy with BhaR but I personally loved it, Matthew described it as wanting to write it as a more positive album because "despair is a beginner's emotion." Woah! That's deep!

As far as the album goes, It will be full of win! Matt is a shy guy, but he and the rest of the band can't help but seem to hint that its going to be killer.  They said the album contains their heaviest, and lightest music ever, they've mentioned a U2-esque song (well rhthym's at least) Matt's crazy-space rock solo, the awesome Osaka jam, and finally the 3-piece symphonic monster, Matt's masterpiece which he has kept under wraps for years!!! OMGZ oh no I'm going into drooling rabid manic Matt fan-boy mode nooo!!!!!!!!!

okay I will stop before I have a heart-attack, yes,  i am one of those crazy Muse fans who can identify Muse "eras" by Matt's hairstyle

I really liked BHaR, but I like all their stuff to date :)

I think Matt is a clever writer, their music always seems well balanced carefully planned. I'm looking forward to the new album but I'm not going to get too excited, I might not liek this one as much!
