well, if it's worth the buy... is it a good booster?

It all depends what you wanna use it for really.
At different times I used it both to push a breaking up amp into further drive, and at the end of a chain of effects to boost the overall volume for solos etc. It worked well in both of these uses.
The main reason I sold it on was because I had other Fulltone and ZVex boost pedals I was using more than the Duncan 1, otherwise I probably would've kept it.
Also, they sell the pedal as having a 3 way resonance switch on it where it (apparently) changes the sound of a single coil pickup into either a vintage humbucker or a high output humbucker. This is BS (to my ears atleast) and isn't a valid reason to own the pedal, but for a booster, you could do alot worse for the money.

i was quite sure that the resonance trick wouldn't work, but i've got just humbuckers, so i couldn't care less! :)

Should be ok then :)
If you can get it relatively cheap, you could do alot worse for a boost pedal :)

It's not a bad boost, and is actually quite a good value for the money. Don't confuse it with a boutique boost, however.
Sorry, I'm coming in late on this. I've been fighting the Plague the last 4 days!
