I'm not really familiar with the Randalls but, seriously, have you looked at the current range of Bugeras ?   THey have great high gain, and a stellar clean channel too !   Build quality does not seem to be as bad as the low prices would suggest either.

Used to have one, but I dropped Randall when the 3rd amp in 2 month's time malfunctioned (first two T2s just went up in smoke and then that one RM100 began to feedback like crazy even though I had an ISP Decimator hooked up).
Now moved on to ENGL and couldn't be more satisfied with it.

Not sure about the build quality on Randalls :D,
but on the rare occasions they worked they really delivered tone.
Mine had a Blackface, an UltraXL and a modded Ultra module.
Great clean, really beefy high-gain rhythms and top-notch leads.

Maybe I was just out of luck (three times in a row... yeah right),
but RM100s are really capable of some good tones IF they work properly,
as well as some great features like the Bias section in the back.

If it's too much money, look into the T2 and V2 Randalls. Just bought the T2 myself and it's fricking awesome.

they look awsome too but i dont even know if i can afford them, just found myself out of a job and need to cut costs on amp....:(
i am pondering between the bugera 6262 and 333xl (or 6260 and 333 i really dont know what the difference is...)
i need an amp that can do tight aggressive rhythm work with alot of bass and lower midrange growl... (machine head, lamb of god *although their tone is awfull* trivium, killswitch engage, arch enemy etc....) and then searing clear  fluid solos , (especially like arch enemys...)
which amp would be best for this ? it would be great if a bugera would fit the bill, (save me a few pennies...)
suggestions?

i've only tried one in a shop, the only high gain module i got to try was the recto one, and i didn't really like it (from what i can remember- it was ages ago when i got to try it). The plexi and deluxe models were very nice, though. Obviously I can't comment on the reliability because of only trying it in a shop... :)

i haven't been able to try the bugeras, can you try them? that'd be the best thing.

I am a Randall MTS user and also mainly an Egnater  modular amp user
I cant say enough good things about them
The Egnaters are somewhat scarcer and much more expensive but OMG - great gear
I am liking the Randall stuff a lot too and there are some great modifications that are done to some of the modules

Get over to the MTS forum to check it all out :http://mtsforum.grailtone.com/index.php (http://mtsforum.grailtone.com/index.php)

Cant speak of the reliability of the Randall heads as I use the preamps with a separate power amp, but the sounds and ability to change things around is great
