Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh this isnt helping my Tele GAS!
-
I'm really beginning to love that guitar!

Thanks for posting that - it's a really good story :D
I'm not sure I'd ever want to pinstripe a guitar, but that does look way cool. I am however wondering about esquiring something. I wouldn't want to do it to my favourite teles, but then I'm worried I might create something that stopped them being my favourites!

Thanks for the comments, everyone.
The decision between an Esquire and a Tele boils down to the question: "How much do I really need a neck pickup?"
There is something about a single pickup guitar and on an Esquire it allows you to get the most out of that single pickup.
If you do convert one of your Teles to an Esquire, you can always convert it back if you don't like it.

I haven't (yet) tried an Esquire, but I certainly find that's true with my LP Jr and SG-X. Not having a second pickup makes you much more aware of what the bridge pickup is capable of.
Simplicity is liberating! :D

I have that Squier and have been deliberating over Esquireing it, or putting a P90 in the neck.
If i'm not mistaken, Twinfan has done this to his Squier Tele?

Yep, he had a TV Jones neck pickup for a while but now it's an Esquire (or Esquiere) I believe.
