Title: New Mule clip..
Post by: _tom_ on June 11, 2009, 09:11:45 PM
Because I havent posted one in ages and have been writing something new! I love having this guitar in Eb, it just seems better for some reason. Playing is a bit sloppy I think, let me know what you think to the tune..

Guitars used a variety of pickup combinations, main rhythm things were just bridge, cleans, intro and little lead bit at the end were middle. Not sure if I used neck by itself.. All into Amplitube 2 because I cant be arsed to mic my amp at the minute, this gives me a better/punchier sound.

I like it, but it's definitely the sort of track that requires vocals. Get singing Todgemeister!

haha I would make the worst singer ever with my monotonous voice/inability to project it at all.

I've re-recorded the main rhythm bits with my HT5. I think it sounds worse  I suck at mic'ing, why does it always sound fizzy and thin no matter where I put the mic? EQ'ing it out just makes it sound fake and horrible.

Playing is a bit tighter I guess.

Same link as before.

Ive allways liked your songs Tom, cant think of anything bad to say exept that it lacks a frontman, singer or not, there is some rage or explosion kind of thing missing.

Anyway FWIW really nice tune but its not finished allthough youre a long way there IMO.

Thanks for listening Henk, havent seen you around here much for a while!

I've pretty much given up with trying to find a singer as no one I know around here is into this sort of thing. Tempted to just try to do an instrumental band with a drummer and bassist I know.

Glad to be back Tom, allthough sooner or later buzzyness at work will take its toll again im afraid.

IMVHO your music misses a 'face', frontman, 'insane guy doing whatever he feels like' to make it more noticable.

Still, if you make the best of what you have now im sure the rest will follow, JUST DONT HOLD BACK!

Or whatever :?

Greets Henk

Sounds good to me, perhaps just a little more punch on the bass strings, but probably you would need a hotter pickup...
