I finaly got my Egnater Rebel 20 :D Always nice to see the Postman coming with a big package 8) I like it!It was sent from the States,so,i had to change the Main fuse, switch to 230V and find another AC power chord (euro). But i was ready :) and it's working fine !I just tried it for 5/10 min. but the cleans are very sweet & sexy !(Too bad Egnater didn't use the London Power Scaling .I think it's more efficient, esp. for high gain). And it looks beautiful on top of my Nomad &Marshall 4x12!Don't have my own pics yet but here it is:(http://i432.photobucket.com/albums/qq48/viking22_photos/Rebl20.jpg)

Thanks guys! The amp is fine but i have a problem with the effects loop :?!I plugged a Lexicon MX200 in the loop and...just a BIG BUZZ :( Even with the Master on 0,i get the same buzz.No other sound !I use the Lexicon everyday with the Nomad,no problem. Before i bought the amp,i specifically asked the seller about the loop's condition because many Rebel owners were complaining about theirs (static noises etc..) !(The guy said the amp was in perfect condition but.. he had never used the loop himself  !)I will try again tonight but i wonder why is there such a strong buzz even when the Master is on 0?

Sounds like a badly shielded cable to me. Swap cables and see if it stays. I had the same on my Ecstasy today.

I may be getting confused, and you know I'm not too hot on amps.... but what Ecstasy? :?

I will swap cables tonight but, yesterday, there was no sound at all.Just the bzzzzz and nothing else.Even with the Master on 0 and the Lexicon effects on standby..

can you try plugging the fx send from that amp into the return of another amps fx loop.
that would test the preamp out of your amp into another amps power amp stage.
you could also plug you guitar directly into the fx return to prove the input to the power stage works.
(or however the signal flows)
if it has switching jacks forming the loop maybe its a problem caused by one being opened up by a jack

I'd like to know exactly how they're working the 'tube mix' part of the circuit - pictures of the guts if you please :D

Oh yes,i'm interested too  but i didn't open it yet. I could have to wait until the loop problem is resolved.I just sent a Email to Egnater about it.What i can tell you is that it's working well and this Rebel is CRAZY FUN to play PDT_003 !I couldn't stop tonight :guitar4: Fun,fun, fun :D PS:HTH,do you know if my Marshall 4x12 is 16 Ohms ?I used the 8 Ohms plug but it sounded fantastic !

about the loop:
see if there is a marker drawn "m" on the serial number patch on the back of the amp.
if there is no "m" than the amp is a pre fx loop mod model.
email egnater about it and they will send you the components required for the mod + instructions (I think it's just a couple of resistors).

Thanks! That's what i thought.I checked the serial number and, indeed, there is no "m" :( It's one of the early models. Is it a mod i can do myself? If i remember correctly,it's only to lower the loop's gain.

I've never done the mod but from what I heard you have to be able to do really delicate soldering work when changing the components. If you are ok with that than I guess you can do it yourself.

You're right. You have to swap two components (resistors) on the printed circuit board .But no need for other components.Very simple mod but you need the right tools.
