Title: NAD/anyone using keyboard amps for cleans?
Post by: Philosoful on June 17, 2009, 01:38:25 PM
I don't have it set up like this now as it's heavy as hell but behold my new Roland. It's for Piezos on an 8 string I've got coming with 2 separate output jacks, one to Roland for Piezos, one for magnetics to Diezel. Even on my Ibanez (without Piezos) this thing sounds awesome, such nice cleans and the built in chorus =

(Piezos sound WAAAAAAAY better though PA/Keyboard amps than guitar amps, I tried it at the London guitar show thing Saturday and it's a biiiiiig difference).

The Roland keyboard amps are nice. Extra amp to schlep to gigs, tho!

I don't use a keyboard amp, but I use a pod x3 through a Tech 21 powerengine, which is a similar sort of flat-frequency amp

Herbert!

Awesome  :good:

FWIW, I play Axe FX through a Verve12MA, which is similar to your keyboard amp. Sounds smashing!

Can't say I've tried anything through a keyboard amp before, but it definitely sounds like something I should try.

And props to you for having the power off when not using it!  PDT_003
