My new cab arrived today after a waaaaaaaaaaaaay to long wait.

the packaging was really neat - can probably survive falling off my scooter (almost happened  )

...and inside lies...

My brand new Earcandy Bailey 2x8 :guitar4:

and it just so happens that it matches in color to the almost brand new Egnater Rebel-20.

and there is a nice surprise under the grill:

It is very well done and sounds amazing (much better than the original rebel cab in my opinion). The only gripe I have with it is the really long waiting time that was very frustrating to me. But now that I have it I don't really think about it.
I'm so happy right now...

I do like the wood underneath. I can't wait for my cab from Martin, which is taking a while too, but I don't know what period is counted as 'long' so I can't really complain.
What speakers are in it?
-
the speakers are the downsized version of Earcandy's Green Machine. they do need to be broken in a bit, but they sound very balanced to start with.
this cab also has illegal amounts of bass, and somehow it does it without being boomy, but I think thats due to the porting more than the speakers.

awesome little cab!

Cool looking cab mate, may it rock your neighbours world :)

there are threads EVERYWHERE (or there used to be at least) about ear candy taking ages to build stuff, and for apparently taking some guys money and messing him around. that guy has been posting on HC, mesa and fender forums and way way way more.
I dont know the in's and out's, but its enough to put me off dealing with ear candy. i hear the cabs do sound good, but yeah. BIG waits. i read the HC stuff and there was some very weird posts in it.
however,
thats cab does look COOL! and i think the ear candy videos on youtube are quite informative.

wasnt he quite ill. these things happen, when you sign up for something with a 1-man business you have to allow for life getting in the way!

i've read that he was ill, and that his workshop flooded, which is apparently something he's told a few people over the years. why would you have a workshop that is pretty prone to flooding?
anyway, im just saying. some started making all these negative posts and then it seemed to get a bit nuts on a few forums. i dont know anything about him...
p.s. who makes good head shells in the UK? i hit up paul a zilla, but he aint got back to me yet. anyone in london?
-
Oh that is nice. 2x8" ... I would never have thought of that, but then for practising ... is it good at low volume?
-
that's very nice indeed, nice match too :)
-
Looks damn good!
-
Nice! I love the colour match!
Yeah on Rig Talk now, there's talk of a few guys talking the Earcandy guy to court over not giving a refund over a shortly cancelled order (long story short)
-
That's pretty cool!
