...asking if i could get a 4x12 cab made in orange with chromed corners and steal handles black grill cloth and black piping...
...and they said "sorry, we cant help you on this one"
go figure!

It might just be that they don't have the orange vinyl.
Their site has said for ages that the green basketweave vinyl is currently unavailable - so you can't buy a Green Matamp. :(
-
very odd... ask why!
-
It might be because it would look too much like an Orange cab?

I thought that, but Orange don't do cabs that look like that, and I've seen (owned, even!) Orange-coloured Matamp equipment before! Trimmed in black, aswell.

it seems strange for them to just say no and not say why.
i even linked them to a picture of a cab in their gallery as an example and said, like this but orange.
i sent an email back just saying "you cant build a slanted orange coloured cab?"
-
They dont have sticky orange plastic, and probably the people working there have some standard lines to repond to emails. Alot of companies have........

Funnily enough, I contacted Matamp a few years ago to ask if they would service my Orange (it's from around the Matamp era, slightly after) - someone on the Orange Amp forum suggested this, and that he got his old Oranges services there.
They said no to me too.
I think that you have to knock 3 times and ask for Dave...

Seems a bit weird, I guess they have reasons, but it would be nice if they'd said why.
