finally here's my custom!
woods: wengee neckthrough, swamp ash wings with paduk spacers, ebony fretboard.
mechanics: sperzel locking tuners, schaller "hannes" bridge.
electronics: BKP ceramic Warpig bridge, BKP Painkiller neck, 3 way switch, volume, tone, miniswitch for coil splitting
wengee is a rock, but ash wings are very light so the overall weight is acceptable... on the les paul side, but i never felt weight as an issue...
scale is 25.5, neck is round but not thick... let's say like a '60 gibson neck, more or less.
acoustically it's a bright beast, but is naturally full of hi-mids, with a "rounded" sound character... shape is a bit uncommon but feels very, very comfortable and natural.
unfortunately i've got no way to try it on a "real" amp, at the moment (except for a brief test on my luthier's JCM2000)... so i'll post some POD impression later!

some more pic...

excellent, that looks great. glad it turned out so nice (i remember your older threads when you were trying to decide which one to go for) :) EDIT: wow, nice headstock! :D
-
Nice! I'm not sure the shape's for me, but I think the colours of the woods and hardware all blend together really nicely. :D
There's some very prominent grain there! What finish is it, some kind of oil?

to be honest i don't know EXACTLY what he did on that finish... it looks like a thin cover of "something", but not oil. at least i think so... this morning i was too stunned by the amount of money flowing from my wallet to ask, but i will!

That's a cool looking guitar!

Very interesting looking guitar - nice to see something fresh! Love the grainy finish, too.
Nice one!

It's great to have something distinctive that nobody else has :) Happy NGD!
I love the way the the sticky out but at the butt end of the body accomodates the jack socket, & the way the bridge recess is angled slightly. Looks like lovely craftsmanship all round.
Not surprised it's quite bright with the ash & ebony with the wenge to bring out those mods. I'm sure the 'Pig is ideal for it :)

Beautiful guitar!
Congrats!

That looks great! Is it possible to get a pic of the entire guitar?

given the amount of exotic wood, i was waiting for you, fernando! ;)

I'll admit to being a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to guitar shapes... BUT I really like that! Looks like it's been made to last a lifetime... nice one. 8)

This looks a serious guitar, with an awesome playability! Who is the builder? Seems the guy know what to do ;)

how's your AURORA going? have you got some pic of it?

Unfortunately Bob fractured his left femur, so anyone having a Legra built at the moment is having a delay. So me and MDV probably gonna have to wait a little longer though hopefully Bob gets well soon, I can't imagine building guitars in that condition.

uh... that's bad (for him, of course, and for his customers too)!
-
Yep. When bobs back on his feet we'll see. Theres a couple of weeks or so left on the aurora, but I for one dont want him to lift a finger on it till hes sorted, and from what he tells me all his other customers have been the same. Dont know when he'll be fully ok really: docs have given him wide ranging estimates, but hes fit, getting fitter (physio), positive about it and doing all the best things he can to sort himself out - it'll take as long it takes, I guess.
