For year 2. I got an average of 74% overall, which as far as I'm aware is a 1st!
Shame its on a course which will probably be useless haha, Media Production BSc.

Great work Tom!

Well done mate. The second year was BY FAR the hardest on my course.
Hopefully the third year will be filled with a final year project so there's more time to spend in the pub :D
-
Yeah we do have the final year project. I dont even know what we have to do it about/the general jist of it yet, we havent really been told anything which is annoying as I could've done some research into it over summer (got $% all else to do!)
-
Mine are out on the 1st I think.
Argh, the wait.
Congrats on yours Tom.
-
yeah, congrats :D

Congratulations, Tom. Your degree won't be useless, though if you're looking to work in a creative field the quality of your reel will trump your degree grade. That said, a good degree grade suggests you're doing something right so your reel should be good. :)

I dont even have anything good enough to put on a demo reel yet except that 3d animation, I dont do video production so I dont really have much video to show. I have a quiz show we made at BBC wood norton though, if that would be any good?
Thats only 2 things I could put in though and I guess no one wants to see the whole thing, just excerpts :?

It completely depends what area you're looking to work in. If it's a design/visual type job then the show-reel is king, if it's more producer or creative ideas type territory then I have no idea what they look for in a candidate. I only know about how we judge graduates in film VFX and the mountain of reels we get. Besides you've still another year to go. most reels we get from graduates are their final major projects, or excerpts from it so I wouldn't worry yourself.

congrats :)

Well done Tom.
