I'm trying to find out what official colours there have been for 335's in the past/current.
I've seen one that was a very dark red almost "wine red" which looked stunning with silver hardware, and one that was a very dark blue (not ebony).
Has anyone got any idea if these where official colours ?

Hello. The main colours for the 335 are Cherry Red, Vintage Sunburst and Natural. They occasionally do "limited run" alternative colours - I've never seen a blue one but can confirm that the wine red is part of the range as I own one. A picture of mine is attached. The block inlays are not standard, I had the dot markers converted. I also fitted Bareknuckle Stormy Mondays and had the frets replaced and the neck re-finished so it had an even profile. It was only after these mods that it started to sound and play like a guitar at that price should. So, if you're tempted by a 335 go for it but remember that build quality is variable. However, when you get it to the spec you want it sounds like nothing else on earth.
Hope this helps.
Mike.

I can't help but notice you're half naked.

Well if it's a new photo, it has been bloody hot today!

At least you're winky is not reflecting in the finish...

If you look closely enough you'll notice that the underpants I'm wearing are of a much older vintage than the guitar.

Thanks man, it was a real labour of love getting her to the standard I wanted but worth the energy and money. I'm very proud of how the guitar turned out.
Hope you get what you're looking for.
Mike.
