I need to replace these bad boys because they are stiff and loose and lose tuning very quickly.

What do you guys recommend?
Are there any that wont require to much work, so I can take these off and whip the others on, or will I deffinatly need to do a fill and redrill?

to be honest i don't know if you'll need some redrill, but i had an excellent experience with non-locking sperzel tuners. better than with the locking ones. i'd say sperzel in general, but gotoh aren't bad as well.

I don't know what make of tuners Shergold used, but those look like budget types, you probably won't find a direct replacement which matches the screw holes.

What do they look like from the front, are they the type with press-in bushings (like Klusons) or screw-in bushings (like Schallers, Sperzels etc)?

I can't see the picure, but I'd take one off and measure it up.  Then have a trawl through the Stew-Mac site to see if you could find any direct replacements.

I'll have to get it measured? Anyone know a good tech in north cornwall? I don't know of an that are experienced.

Seems like they are cheap ones.

Providing you've bought the right size, they're dead easy to fit.

Where abouts in Cornwall are you?
