Hmmmmmm.... check out his other high end guitar prices?????????????
-
Scam or stolen, I don't know, but even at that price I wouldn't buy it from someone with feedback of "1" and not a single picture of the actual guitar.
Anybody who buys a guitar from an eBay ad with nothing but a stock photo deserves whatever shite they end up with, frankly.
(Edit: Now I've looked at his other items, SCAM most definitely.)
-
Hmmm. Not sure, very cheap for a 'new' 335. Looking at feedback the seller sold a Mike Bloomfield LP for £1750. I don't think they would have made a pricing error twice so suspect a scam. Proceed with caution is my thought on this one!

Scammer at a guess.
-

Ask him for the serial number just to annoy him
-

Isn't it sad what eBay has become.
If the scammers aren't trying to rip off the unwary buyer, then eBay and PayPal rip you off with their charges.
:?
-
I think you would get a guitar and it would say gibson on it.
It just wouldn't be from London and it wouldn't be a Gibson....
-
Ask him can you pay COC....
thats what I do if I suspect a scam, and also ask for pictures of the actual guitar.

South Norwood is 5-10 mins by car from Croydon
He only joined eBay on 20th Jun - I would avoid
Actually - I think everybody should ask him for proper pix to rattle his cage

£2000 guitar with generic catalogue photos = bullshitee
-
And he can't spell the name of the guitar he's sorry to sell... hmm.
-
Does anyone else get this... whenever you see 'Genuine blah blah blah' do you automatically think its a scam?
I do...
Mostly because I don't see why anyone legit would feel they had to say it was genuine.
-
Depends on the advert. If you're looking for Tele/Strat scratchplates, for example, there are loads of generic copies but they still use the word "Fender" because that's what guitar it's for. But if they say "genuine Fender" it's (usually) an actual Fender part rather than a copy.
The important things are the photos and the description.
-
This thread reminds me of a 335 I saw on eBay a few years ago. I wasn't entirely sure it was genuine so sent the seller a question. He said it was a genuine 335 made in the 80's and that "Jimi Hendrix had strung a few chords together on it". When asked how Hendrix did this considering he died in the 70's I got a response back saying it was "Jimmy Page not Jimi Hendrix".
Outrageous!
-
More like Jimmie Krankie!!!
