i really want to pimp a strat - just cuz it'll be fun. not because i want one. Its all about the journey, not the destination.

go for it - it's really is that much fun. that's one of the things I love most about strats, they're so fun to 'hotrod'.

Thanks guys for all the complements!  :D

that guitar isnt the one I origianlly bought the PG for but the PG had just been sitting around so I figured I'd put it to good use.

How do you guys think the black pickup and black volume control look on it?

the dog is an Irish Springer Spaniel puppy- named Rebel- Rebel Yell actually, lol.

Man i'd love to record some stuff but I have no recording gear :(

you guys know of some free stuff I could download? or use a trial version or something?

Getting a good Mic to record would be to problem at all.

One of the guitarists in Saxon [ something quinn i think his name is] had a Union Jack on his Strat pick guard.

I was going to suggest a tele type knob but it might get in the way. I can't make up my mind about the pup though.

I pimped a Sunn mustang strat copy once, Honestly the guitar felt so good, just everything else was poor. It was black with a white scratchplate,H,S,S. I started by dropping in a set of Texas specials (Changing it to S,S,S ), some locking machine heads, a new nut ,Chrome effect tone and volume controls and a mirrored scratchplate also had the shitety trem blocked off. My mates thought I was mad . I was running it through a Soldano and when anyone picked it up they just couldn't get over ,1 How great it sounded but also what a great feel it had( our guitarist used it more for gigging and recording then he did his U.S.A strat!!!)

I bought a second hand Sunn Mustang for my son when he started playing at 11 years of age. A new trem, new (EMG) pickups, new machine heads, new pickguard, a re-fret and ten years later he still uses it. It's no wonder they are now licensed by Fender.

Great little guitar.
