i reckon so.. i've seen very quickly removed advertising posts. i expect the people who posted those are banned.

He was basically deriding another poster's tone clips aggressively and the forum mods wouldn't have it and poof he's banned.

This is a very moderate forum. I think that everyone here is pretty sensible and tolerant.
The most offensive thing here is Roos Telephobia, and that's just funny.

Me neither although I've only been on here for a 16 months.
This is still the only forum I post to - very civilised people with, for the most part, attitudes that help this place be more of a community than other forums (HC is pretty bad as is westhamonline - yes, I like football).
Some people dissapear without trace after a few postings - perhaps they would have been potential bad eggs and realised they wouldn't have been really accepted on here.

Yeah, there have been a few who've come in and instantly get very confrontational over something then flounce out in a huff. Maybe they were expecting it to be like HC or whatever. But I don't remember anyone actually being banned (apart from spammers).
Some people drop in to consult about buying one set of pickups, then I suppose it's job done for them and off they go.
And then we get those people who appear, post like crazy on every thread for a few days/weeks, then vanish in a puff of smoke. But it's a marathon, not a sprint. :wink:

I know of a few fairly recent examples of this. No hints of a goodbye or parting shot either :?

It is far more friendly than the average forum, though sometimes, particularly in the players section I think it can be unhelpfully sycophantic at times, but certainly for the most part, it makes it a nice wee oasis amidst the mayhem of the internets online communities.

I've seen a couple be confrontational, then complain about everyone else for some reason then I think one persons account went dead, but I dont know if he requested it.
This was moderately recent. Been here since it was a one-post-in-total-accross-the-whole-board place and only seen one suspected banning, and I dont know if he jumped or was pushed.
Fixxxxer, I believe the chaps name was.
Anywho, yeah, we rule.

Yes Tim banned someone after about 3 posts once! He slagged off all the sound clips in the players section then said he could play much better and faster than the rest of us but backed up these claims with no clips himself. It was pretty funny as it goes. This was back when the forum started.

This is the only forum I bother with.
I check it many times a day. Just because it is probably the best i've ever used. Helpful people in many situations.

Nah, that because I've gotta keep my "third leg" strapped down to avoid scaring the pupils from the local Catholic Girlsschool where I work as a playground supervisor....
