Title: To all the cold sweat owners
Post by: Vilches3 on July 12, 2009, 07:01:23 AM
Im gonna be picking up my completed axe on monday (excited), and i was wondering what height level the cold sweat takes a liking to with 10 gauge strings, the sweet spot more to speak. Im asking just in case I have to adjust it .I dont wanna kill myself with the adjustments when I could ask you guys  :D

thanks!

not far, but not too close

the holy diver works better very close to the strings, though

I don't have my guitar here, but I don't have them too close either. Not far though. The adjustment process was fairly easy for me, I just got them close to the strings and lowered them until I found the spot. Maybe we should call that the 'sweat spot'  8)

I dont use alot of preamp gain just Hot pickups and lots of power amp gain (Very loud  :D) I like my pickup as high as i can go without it barking back at me. It just sounds the fullest and with the most clarity

I have a neck sweat in an Ibanez S guitar, and I kinda like beefier but no break-up cleans so I backed them off till they didn't distort when picked really hard thru a clean amp.  If you play with hi gain more of the time higher than I have mine for a little more cut.  Tilt the hi E side up a little higher maybe if your highs don't cut through
