Title: Bare Knuckle P-Bass Pickup
Post by: PhilKing on April 25, 2005, 09:54:31 PM
I just wanted to say how great the P-Bass pickup is that Tim made for my 66 Precision.  Years ago I used to have a 63 precision that I sold for the grand sum of £120 (a long time ago :( ).  However,  I have the sound of it back, and more.  If any of you guys play bass or have a bass player with a precision, then you have to try the pickup.  It does exactly the same for the bass as the guitar pickups do.  Turns an average instrument into something that you can't put down.

Mind you, I still need an old Thunderbird pickup

Ive got a bass that me and Tim put together with one of our P-bass pickups in. My ones are wound slightly hotter that yours (DC 11.2k, I think yours were about 10.4k?). They sound excelent (If I do say so myself!) Im thinking of making a set of J-bass pickups for my 5 string Warwick.
We dont list bass pickups on the online store at the moment, but If you give us a call we can make J, P and bass humbuckers, or re-wind anything that you already have.

Tim, this was something I was going to ask (having had an enquiry from a customer) whether you do bass pickups. Could you email me some details and prices?

As in flame maple top LPs or do you know about my  George Lynch  obsession?
I'd love to bring a Lynch tiger guitar - that would be cool!

Have to get Tim to wind something special..........
