I play a shecter c classic at the moment with a jb/jazz set. Anyway i want more power in my pick ups so im thinking of putting a warpig in. However if i did this im guessing my jazz would sound quieter. Should i try and get a pup that could match the output of the warpig? I wanted a nice jazz like sound, you know for those bluesy solos and for adding more charecter to clean playing. Any tips?
And my shecter has a 5 way selecter switch to tap the coils. Would i be able to tap my coils with this sistem? i'd prefver it more then a pull push pot.

If you want a Warpig I can wind a matching neck pickup with a lower output no trouble. Hooking up the humbuckers to a 5 way so you get auto taps/shunts again is relatively easy.
Check Harmony Central for custom Warpig necks I've made,

So, do you tweak and tease the pickups a little to suit the needs of the customet at just a little more on the price?
If you did, that's what I call customer service! You guys are going to do well, really well, I can smell it.

Cool, do you mean winding another warpig for a lower output?
And if i did indeed have just a warpig in the bridge and the jazz in the neck would this pose problems as the jazz has deffiantly a lower output.

I don't charge any extra at all for tweaking a wind and I like to make each pickup with the knowledge of who it's for and what they expect from it. I like to talk to all our customers before they go for a pickup to really get inside what they want. This isn't always possible, we stock quite a few stores here in the UK and Europe but wherever possible it's the way I like to work best.Good tone=a happy guitarist=playing guitar 8)
A Warpig will sit against a Jazz in the neck quite happily, you will notice a drop in gain obviously but as long as the magnet is OK in the Jazz you shouldn't expect a huge drop in volume

Tim, Bare Knuckle Pickups really are awesome.
I'm sticking with BKP all the way, no other company gives you service THAT good.

Ok i changed my mind, i decided a miracle man would suit me alot better in the bridge then a warpig. I suppose with the lower output the jazz won't loose too much volume when i switch. And can the mircale man be tapped? Would the diagram for installing the pup show me how to do this with a 5 pup selector?
-
You'll only notice a difference in tone not volume and 4 conductor is no trouble with the Miracle Man. I can supply the correct wiring diagram for a 5 way too.
-
Wow thanks mate, im guessing the 4 part conducter thing is for tapping right?
-
It gives you access to both coils for coil splits, series/parallel, in/out phase etc.

ok sounds cool. I have both my hums tapped on my guitar, would this just mean my bridge would be tapped and not the neck? It sounds alright i only use the bridge tapped cos the jazz sounds fine by itself
