afternoon all, looking a little assistance.
i am now the proud owner of Twinfan's Classic Vibe Esquire conversion :) and a lovely little guitar it is too. however, i'm going to put the neck pickup back in. thing is, i quite like the sound of the cap he has put in position 3 on the selector. how would i wire this to a push/pull pot to bring it into circuit in the same way?
or, would it sound the same if i just used that cap in place of the one on the tone control?
many thanks for any help ;)

It's just a simple cap to ground, and dead easy to put on a push-pull switch. It's not the same as the cap on the tone pot as it's a much smaller value so I'd leave that alone.
Try Googling for a diagram? Otherwise I can probably come up with something...

thanks dave, working out electronic connections always gets my head in a spin for some reason! i saw your suggestion for a 4 or 5 way switch in the other tele thread and thought that was good, but then i realised i'd like the option of having the c--ked wah tone available for all pickup selections.
if i just know which wires to connect to which lugs on the push/pull i'll be fine
it is a great little guitar by the way. it's on a stand in my living room at the minute and is currently my most played :) course, the novelty will eventually wear off, but i can see it staying in my top 3 anyway

Glad you're enjoying it!
For the push-pull you suggest, it should be a very easy task to wire up.
