Here's my new guitar, one I have wanted for ages....
So I have bit the bullet and I'm glad I did....
It's a MIJ Tokai ES130, basically a late 50's 335 replica. I tried a few Gibsons, the good Gibsons were just as good, the not so good ones were not as good. I think the 57 Classics might be better than the Tokai Pups but nothing Bare Knuckle can't sort out in the future :D

awesome, MIJ tokais are great. :)

Love it
Does it have a 50s Gibson big D shaped neck profile?
-
Awesome!

Absolutely spiffing.

That looks awesome! Good luck changing pickups in a semi though...

It's pretty big, but not like a huge 50's neck. Closer to 50's than 60's though...I like bigger necks....

Well no rush, sounds ace so far....
I'll get somebody else to do it when the time comes :)

Lovely! :D
I don't know the Tokai ES models, but since 130's a big number I'm guessing nitro finish?
-
New or used?
-
I bought it new.
Not sure about the finish, I've heard they are Nitro pver a poly base coat.

We had an MIJ Tokai ES120 (earlier version of the same thing), but it had a warped neck and never got played, so we traded it for a Martin D28 (yes the shop knew about the neck). But it had a lovely sound, I always wanted to put some Stormy's in it.
Good choice!
