Title: Zakk goes batsh!t at being sacked
Post by: Afghan Dave on July 31, 2009, 02:37:24 AM
Remember that "good ole" drunken "southern fried" biker Redneck (who happens to come from New Jersey & had a nose job to look pretty with his perm in the 80s)

He has finally got the message that despite being amazingly talented, sounding like a f**king broken record on every album and interview since 1996... GETS ON PEOPLES NERVES & THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH YOU!!

Hear the interview when he finally admits that OZZY probably ain't gonna call him anymore.

http://kflyfm.com/common/medialib/54/45226.mp3

What a sad fool he has become.

I liked alot of Pride and Glory and the acoustic album he did but that's it. I never liked BLS or his cr@p with Ozzy.

But he's in every guitar magazine every month giving us his own brand of guitar hero wisdom - what will we do now?

I think he was STUNNING with ozzy in the No more tears / Ozzmosis period ! What's going on with ozzy now is a shame as ZW is a very talented guitarist...  :(

I also liked him very much with pride and glory too, but it's true that the BLS experience never caught my eyes.

You know what ? no matter in what band he plays he will still remains a guitar hero for your pleasure, as you LOVE metal player, and you know his playing stays a reference in the guitar world ! :D

My thoughts exactly.

But at some point he became this biker character (caricature might be a better term) with bad habits and attitude.

Such a shame, really.

Everything I seen recently by Ozzy (live) has had Zakk Wylde playing - I'd be surprised to find anyone else on Ozzy's new record.  In any case, Ozzy is WAAAAAY past his best and I fully expect anything else he puts out to suck like it has since No More Tears (ok, Ozzmosis has a couple of 'ok' songs).

As for Zakk, he's wasted his talent with BLS imo, its just album after album of the same thing.  The P&G stuff and Book Of Shadows was more song orientated, but still with some great playing on them.  Thats the route he should be taking again, its not like he needs the money.  It becomes about maintaining the lifestyle - if he changes now will he have an audience?  I think he'll always have an audience now.

He's a strange bloke.  In interviews - when he's not talking about how much beer he can drink or how much weight he can "pound" - he seems to like a really broad range of music.  And as people have already said, the Pride & Glory album was great, in fact absolutely brilliant, IMO.

But for some reason he seems happy to have turned himself into a cartoon character and to keep churning out the same old shite album after album.  :?

(As for who plays on the next Ozzy album, who cares?)

I think we all generally feel the same about Zakk.

I love Book of Shadows/Pride & No more tears, they're filled to the brim with great songs and prodigious talent.

Why on earth does he feel he needs to act like a caricature Biker and rant about the same asinine things in a self referential macho fashion in interviews?

Dear Zakk,

"Man up" (quote) and look in the mirror!

Dear Zakk,

  • YOU have never been in the US Marine corp or even army cadets!
  • YOU are NOT in a biker gang - (they even attack your fans for wearing fake colours)
  • YOU are EITHER a DRUNK or even worse an IDIOT acting DRUNK
  • Just like the Pop-stars you mock - YOU have lived in a showbiz bubble since you got the Ozzy gig at 19

  • You ARE a sensitive talented musician who needs a f**king INTERVENTION asap.

"Man up" (quote) and look in the mirror!

Er... who actually is this bloke?

The most recent Ozzy albums I've got are "Ultimate Sin" and "Talk of the Devil" - would he be on those?

You never know if Sharon has her way!

Zakk might not be on No More Tears for much longer...

Jake E Lee and Brad Gillis, respectively.

I LOVE Talk of the Devil (aka Speak of the Devil for some inexplicable reason).

Ah! Brad Gillis - that's the name...

Yes, that's my favourite Ozzy (and Black Sabbath, for that matter!) album.

I'm guessing I've not really heard this Zakk chappie much then - sounds like a thoroughly nice bloke though

I wonder if he'll release a signature P45 and  Zakk Wylde box of tissues.

In a choice of camo, bullseye or rebel flag designs.

But he's probably quite glad he's not been shot dead like Dimebag. :(

Who can't play in lots of cities because real bikers take exception to him wearing biker colours ithout actually being a member of any gangs

He's been on two great albums (P&G and Book Of Shadows, like everyone else says!) But everything else has been terrible. Ozzy hasn't been on a good record since Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, for the record, but everything he sang on before that was flawless.

Oh, and that isnt wylde going batshite. He gets like that over a luke-warm beer or a non-pentatonic solo.

Epiphone would make them and they'd cost twice as much as normal tissues.

There's the sound of a nail being hit on the head - spot on Dave. It's a shame really, he's a talented guy.

I like the beginning of BLS, but I think he makes the same solo in all songs since he begun with BLS
But agree with the character thing and etc... Hope he decides to change his solos, at least :D

One of the most ridiculous scene I've EVER seen was on BLS's BBBB DVD, where he act like a jealous drunk kid while the 2nd guitar was giving a interview... Even the interviewer asked to Nick something like "he does that sh*t everytime you get interview/a little attention??"

Hhaahahhahahahahahaha LOlOLoLL!!!

All he's gotta do is open his mouth and out flows the stereotypical East Coast "tough guy" BS....... He's never going to lose the NJ speech impediment either....
