On a sad note in the early hours of Friday the 31st of July we lost one of our Maine coon cats Oltomaine Sirhenry Morgan ('Henry') he was 11years 8 months old and died suddenly in his sleep. He was brother to Oltomaine Longjohn Silver ('LJ') who we lost just over 18 months ago to a tumour aged 9 years 11 months . He was a constant companion to me whilst I was at the computer sitting and waiting patiently for me to finish so I could follow him down stairs for a brush and a walk around. I will miss him more than I can describe. We now only have Purdystone Marmaduke ('Duke') although I think we may look for some companions for him. In the picture Henry is the black smoke and white on the top of the couch, LJ is the silver tabby and Duke is the Red Tabby.

I am really sorry to hear. I know only too well the pain you are feeling and I still feel sad about my lovely little Russian Blue "Mercedes". Definitely agree that you should consider getting more. There are plenty of cats that need the sort of love you can give. My condolences for your sad loss.

Sorry to hear it mate, they were beautiful looking Cats.

Poor kitty. I don't mean to threadjack, but I adore cats, so I am always sad to hear of anything bad happening to one.
Scratch the rest of your furry family for me.

Very sorry to hear about the 'Grand Old Chap'. :(
I hope it was a gentle departure for him. Like many others have said, we never forget our 'absent friends' . I still have the photograph, lock of fur and shrine to my ' Lost Queen' in the centre of my bookshelf. Lucky are we that have had to chance to share time with these remarkable creatures.

So sorry to hear the news.
I know he'll be missed, but always have a part of your heart.

Very sad news. I have two Maine coons, both complete snobs but great characters.

He died very fast and peacefully he was sleeping in his bed which is next to me I heard no noise at all. He was so relaxed he looked like he had just been waking up and had gone the vet even thought his heart had stopped fully contracted so fast was his death. He used to gently wake my wife with a touch on the cheek ever so softly in the morning. He also used to stay up with me and everytime I stood up he would excitedly expect me to follow him downstairs for a brush and a cuddle.
