Didn't get round to posting this last week. Went to see these guys in the Basingstoke Anvil. They did a complete run through of The Wall and finished with a few others - Wish You Were Here and Brain Damage.
It was obviously very well rehearsed although I found the guitars either too sterile or loaded with too much gain - the main lead guitarist (not the bald one) is very good, not so sure about the other one. I did enjoy it but not sure if I will go to see them again - maybe if they did DSOTM I would go.
Lots of trainspotters in attendance that were only too willing to pick up if a note was missed, solo played slightly 'wrong' etc. Pretty sad IMO - just enjoy the music and show!!

I've seen the Aussie Floyd everytime they've been here for the last 5 years :D.
They put on a cracking show, the lasers and everything as I'm sure you're aware are top notch. I seen them do The Wall this year also, it was a great show for me, because they normally leave off a few of my favourites from that album off their set.
However my favourite show of theirs was the one before this, they had an awesome setlist, which was basically a greatest hits, and then Dark Side, followed by Numb and Run Like Hell.
I'll go every time they're here, great experience! and about as close as I'll get to seeing Floyd unfortunately. :(
EDIT: Actually the best moment for me ever seeing them was 2 or 3 years ago when they played Echoes!

They didn't have ANY lasers when I saw them :x. One of the backing singers was a complete fox though

Oh yeahh, they always have a few foxes in the backline doing vocals :D!
That's a real pity about the lack of a laser show man, it's definitely part of why I keep going back. They play the music very, very, very faithfully, but as you say, you can pick it apart if you are being a little cynical, so the laser show definitely enhances the experience.
Were they playing a smaller venue or something so they couldn't use the lasers?
If you ever get the chance to see them again with the full show, definitely go!

Yeah - pretty small. Probably about 400-500 people. Maybe that's why it was a reduced light/laser show!
