Well I let my inner diva get to me,
In a rather childish fit of rage I got very angry at my guitar while practicing in the garage. Twas playing Somebody to Love but was arranging with looper pedals and had all my loops worked out (switching between two loopers) but my damn pedals weren't cooperating and after the hundredth time I just threw the guitar across the garage....
The second it left my hands I had this horrible feeling of "no my baby!" and yet "burn baby burn daddy needs a new guitar anyways," when it thumped off some cardboard boxes, landed on trashbag and rolled onto the floor..unharmed save for a few minor scratches on the back.
Was it luck? Or do the Gods have some sort of reason for sparing my red strat which I loathe so much (utterly everything about it)?

i have to say you may be a bit of a tw@t for throwing it anyway... its not like you were on stage or owt ;)

The Gods have spared to allow you to get a better price for it, so you can get a guitar you really like.

Good job on the reclicing process, keep it up, but try to keep it in your hands this time.
