I know my clips aren't popular, but anyway - comments appreciated.

(guitar part recorded in one take by the way)

haha pretty cool. Tone seems to fit in nicely. What are you using for drums and the 8 bit synth sounds?

I love 8 bit. Did you ever hear my Avril Lavigne 8 bit covers/dancey remixes?

Cool, I'll check out that maxYMiser :)

remixes are in the link in my sig! Everything was done with free vst stuff. drums were something called Drumatik VE, an 808/909 emulator. Rest is either Tweakbench Peach or reapers ReaSynth.

Hot is the better of the 2 I think, it has a pretty fat bassline at the end

Hummm not sure about it, that 8bit is eletronic punk? or a sound from that anime 8bit?

Well, the tone suits the music very well, sounds very modern!

I rather liked that gwEm- I'm surprised I did as well! I have a 1040 ST in the attic - hasn't been used for years and I may well get it out soon.

Good stuff on the one take for the guitar.

Thanks for the positve comments  :)

The guitar is recorded with an original Sansamp rack (currently on loan to me, but hopefully I can come to some deal) and a curly cable direct into my multi-track.

It took a while to tweak the Sansamp into a usable metal sound with the strat. I added some room and delay post as you can hear. I took 6 or so takes and picked the best one, I think it was number 5.

Using my 2204, curly lead and treble booster you can play metal all day long with the slowhands. The secret may be in the treble booster, so perhaps I'll try to boost the Sansamp next time.

I think you can clearly hear the fender single coil quality in the sound, which I like.
