This is work in progress, so please apologise if it doesn't have a perfect structure or anything.
I admit the chorus is very commercial, sorry to be commonplace :O)
The Synth theme is a NordLead (yeah i dug it out inspired by Gwem's Alpha Juno1 purchase)
This is made with two guitars, but no double tracking or anything, all is the same sound on Axe/VHT2502 with an SM57 in front of the G12H30. Volume was a maybe 2xnormal TVish levels.
SG with ColdSweats, on the picking parts in the middle I use the neck with volume dialed back quite a bit (the SG has Hamer Pots, so it's very transparent).

you certainly have a good ear for tone these days hunter!
the nord really does sound great - i might be tempted to use it for a simple bass part after the intro riff just to keep that electronic feeling going - or maybe use a classic breakbeat instead of the drums - or maybe some synth strings. just some ideas, its a good composition i think.

Even through my laptop speakers this sounds good. I find that the verse part has a bit of Rammstein to it which definitely is nice.
Like gwEm suggests I also vote for letting the synth continue into the first verse part. It seems a little abrupt with it's current ending (I know this is just a scetch so plenty of oppertunities to new ideas and changes).
I think it would work great with some kind of psychadelic underlaying guitar in the quiet part of the song. Maybe some slide or something a bit oriental to match the track title. Maybe some phase sounds or other psychadelic effect.
I don't mind that the chorus might be a bit or a lot "commercial" I still think it works and you got the other parts to out weigh the commercialness.
I would love to hear this track when you've done some more work on it :D

To the first part. That's a real downer :( how can anything be too rock? Try to convince your band mates that this song has potential. Even if they won't listen, I'd love to hear it more complete.
To the second part. That sounds lovely. Like my mama always used to say: If you band mates don't like one of you songs then write two new ones. Well... My mother didn't actually say that, she didn't even come close to saying that, but it's great that you already have to new songs in production.
