I have a LP Custom white like Mr. Rhoads. The Fillmors sound great in the bridge for that old blues, clssic rock thing but the neck really sucks, not enogh heat or fatness.
I was thinking of the Nailbombs as a replacement. Gainer and but also heard they clean up well. Any thoughts.

While I am on it shoudl I keep the white LP custom and go for a honeyburst 60's neck Standard, there so much lighter now in production.

Damn Cold Sweats or Nailbomb. I listened to clips but hard when many clips are on amp simluators like POD Xt an dnot on real amps.
Is one warmer then the other?
Thicker then the other?
Which has the nicest thickest clear neck pup?
Best cleans?
Best chunk?
Best for metal and heavy classic rock?

My fave tone I've heard here for heavier stuff is the Miracle Man - checkout Tim's demo, it $%in rocks!!!

Warpig or Miracle Man works for me..... :D

Im doing a recording with my band in the next couple of weeks.I shall be recording my Speed Twin valve head through my 2/12 celestion G12H speaker cabs.
If the quality is good enough ill post a track in the players room so you can hear the CS,Mule and Abraxas through a valve amp.
Unless someone gets there first.

Thanks Steve. Your October CS clip sounds great very John Sykes like.
If I can get that tone from my LP custom especially that neck Sykes tone heaven exists.
-
The CS set is made with LP players in mind and they rock bigtime :D !

Not trying to hijack the thread or anything, I just thought it would be better if I asked this in here instead of making a new one.
So, about the nailbomb, do they sound good in Les Pauls for punk/hardcore/post hardcore stuff, maybe a bit of metal? Bands like Funeral For A Friend, Underoath, Finch etc

Yes, the Nailboms sound great in les pauls and would be perfect for the kind of tones you are looking for.
